Eventing is one of three Olympic equestrian disciplines at which Australia has been extraordinarily successful, winning back-to-back gold medals at the Barcelona, Atlanta, and Sydney Olympics, silver medal at Beijing and bronze at Rio. Thoroughbreds have been an important element of this success.
