This joyful and vibrant race day look brings together creativity, sentiment, and colour in perfect harmony. The two-piece ensemble — a beautifully tailored top and full skirt — was handmade by my gorgeous friend Kirra for my birthday last year. The dreamy watercolour print fabric inspired the rest of the outfit, radiating cheerful spring energy with its blend of soft pastels and bold splashes of colour. To complement the look, I paired it with a striking millinery piece from Millinery by Mel, featuring oversized blooms in pastel hues that echo the tones of my outfit. Mel kindly remade me a piece from her collection and colour matched everything to perfection! My matching clutch — a lucky find from SHEIN — ties the colours together seamlessly, while classic Nine West heels in powder blue complete the look with polished elegance. My jewellery is a sentimental mix of pieces from several retailers, and a beaded bracelet I managed to make myself, adding a personal and touch to the ensemble. This outfit is a celebration of friendship, creativity, and the joy of dressing up for the races — bright, bold and full of heart — and a world apart from my weekly working week in Road Infrastructure and maintenance, and deserved a moment of fun on the swing set at the park next door!
