My entry is inspired by the natural beauty of the azaleas in my garden. My millinery style is often reflective of the classic pillbox. I express my feelings for life in colour and the feel of textures of fabrics. I reinterpreted the pure white of the azaleas translating them into vibrant oranges, pinks with highlights of gold metallic paint. In this millinery entry I have expressed my passion for colour and sculptural shape. Painting the handmade petals and the vintage straw, blocked on a torque hat block I feel has achieved a millinery piece that encompasses elegance and timeless beauty.
