Keen to side with the different form in MARWOOBA (2) who comes down from Sydney off a sharp win at Rosehill. He got a nice run there but burst through in strong late sectionals to suggest the rise to a mile would be perfect against a few Melbourne 2yo's that haven't set the bar all that high. FONTEIN JEWEL (1) won the key lead up here last time out in a tough effort, his late strength suggesting the rise to a mile would suit. Respecting again. STAR OF MACEDON (3) was third there in another good effort when back to the inside. He should relish 1600m here and draws for a decent run. KO PHANGAN (4) was fourth in the same race and was going 1100m to 1420m second up so expect he can improve again. FROM YESTERDAY (5) perhaps next best although the gap between runs isn't ideal.

Won key lead up and looks a strong hope again.

The start before that 6th of 9 at Canterbury 2yo C&G Mdn-Sw on June 8 over 1250m, on a slow track; 1.75 len behind The Machine Gun carrying 56kg at $21. Big run last time and sets up nicely.

The run before that 4th of 11 at this track 2yo Hcp on May 16 over 1400m, 2.75 len behind Autumn Charm carrying 56kg at $51. Run two back says he's up to this sort of level, in the mix.
