Melbourne Cup ticket up for grabs and LITZDEEL (13) will take a power of beating. She did enough fresh over a mile before an excellent run here over 2000m last time, settling a long way back on a day that heavily favoured those inside and on speed, charging into second off a strong tempo. She bolted in on Cup Day here over 2800m and with a bit of luck early she'll go close. DESERT HERO (6) was first up in the same race as Litzdeel and was another to hit the line well, finishing fourth. He should strip a fair bit fitter and his UK form stacks up very well over a more suitable trip. WHISKY ON THE HILL (3) was sixth in that race and has since dropped back to 1800m in a tougher race. He gets to his right trip fourth up and ready to fire. PARADISE STORM (2) comes back from NZ having bolted in the Wellington Cup last time. Not sure that's the strongest form but he'll stay all day. STEEL RUN (8) next best.

Previously second-up 4th in a small field at York in the G3 Silver Cup Stakes on July 12 over 2816m, 4.5 len behind Al Qareem carrying 57kg at $34. Interesting placement but he's good enough.
Most recently ran on from midfield and scored a big 6 len win at Ellerslie G2 Auckland Cup March 7 over 3200m defeating Manzor Blue carrying 53kg at $5.80. The run before that 7th of 10 at this track Hcp on February 14 over 2500m, 2 len behind Berkeley Square carrying 54kg at $26. Not sure of the NZ form but have to respect.

The run before that 6th of 9 at this track Aus Cup Pre on March 7 over 2000m, 4.5 len behind Arcora with 57.5kg at $6. Just fair last time but fancy he's looking for this trip now.

First up last campaign of 16 at this track Bm96 on November 5 2024 over 2800m, 13 len behind Garachico carrying 58kg at $31. Ran 3rd in a Warrnambool trial over 2800m on March 19. Likely to be better for the run.

At only start last preparation 16th of 20 at Randwick in the G2 Chairmans on April 5 over 2600m, slow going 13 len behind Alalcance carrying 59kg at $8.50. Nice return, have to respect up to a better trip.

The start before that sat on the pace when 3rd of 10 at this track Hcp on February 14 over 2500m, 0.9 len behind Berkeley Square carrying 54kg at $19. Handy stayer who can figure in the finish.
Resuming. Finished off last preparation failed to finish at Ballarat Gn Chase August 17 over 4500m. Previous preparation first-up favourite; won by neck Pakenham 1Jw Hdle April 13 over 3200m slow track defeating Road Runner with 68.5kg at $8. This will be a prep run for Warrnambool.
