Tricky race. DUCHESS ZOU (2) found her scenario last start at Sandown Hillside and capitalised, getting her preferred soft (bordering on heavy) ground and coming away from a handy position. Up a fair bit in the weights off that but will get a similar scenario here and is well placed to go on with it. FIRST CHORUS (4) is the interesting runner, backing up from an easy victory last week at Caulfield. She got into the best ground out very wide there but was far too good as a short priced favourite. Just a little niggle coming back to 1400m in seven days but she should go close. KHADIME (10) just missed the bob here second up in a good effort having won well first up at Seymour. She draws well and should take beating again. LOVELYCUT (6) was better on Wednesday and has claims if they back up quickly. THIS TIME GIRL (12) hasn't threatened her past couple but wasn't far away last time and can settle closer from a good draw now.

The race before that sat behind the speed prior to fading second last of 11 at Bendigo Bm84 on May 2 over 1300m, 4.5 len behind Quiseen with 53.5kg at $2.70. Far too good last time and finds another suitable race.
Mare returning from a spell and has won previously when first up. Finished off last preparation fifth of 8 at Geelong Bm84 January 3 over 1400m, 2.5 len behind Harry's Yacht carrying 57.5kg at $4.80. When resuming last campaign third of 13 at Caulfield Bm84 November 15 over 1400m, 1.1 len behind Taken with 57.5kg at $10. Resumes after a recent trial win. Not the worst.

Second-up 3rd of 13 at Sandown-Hillside Bm84 on May 23 over 1600m, slow going 2.75 len behind Seafall carrying 52.5kg at $41. Rough hope.

Previously first up; third of 11 at this track Nmw December 31 over 1600m, 1.1 len behind Somewhere with 56.5kg at $7. Likely to need this one.

Second run from a spell 2nd of 13 at this track F&M Bm78 on May 16 over 1400m, nose behind Naina with 56.5kg at $21. Just missed last time and should give a sight here.

Previously second-up ran on strongly from last on the turn and won by a neck at Hamilton 0 - 56 November 7 over 1400m on a soft track defeating Ricky Runs with 58kg at $5. No easier this time and happy to leave out.
