I am an emerging fashion designer who specialises in the translation of hand-made textures and fabrications into streetwear. I aim to create largely androgynous ready-to-wear with an emphasis on sustainability in my fabric choices. Having a strong connection to my Japanese heritage, my work is heavily inspired by Japanese design philosophy. I am highly detailed and rely on the use of organic shapes and patterns. The garments can be ethereal in texture and fabrication but edgy in the silhouettes and hardware. My designs intend to push the boundaries of what an ‘everyday’ look can be, by taking familiar streetwear silhouettes and adding intense details which transform the garment into a unique statement piece in the wearer’s wardrobe.
