BLACK CAVIAR LIGHTNING
Home Affairs did it but broadly this hasn't been a particularly happy hunting ground for the three-year-olds who make up more than half the field here. They are headed by the Coolmore winner TENTYRIS (4) who was explosive there and has the tools and talent to make it as a world class sprinter in 2026. It starts here and its no soft start with GIGA KICK (1) back in business in the spring and a powerful older sprinter when he is up and going. He has been caught out fresh at 1000m in the past but this is more of a target for him than those fresh runs ever were. MARHOONA (6) had a very light spring. She's not an easy one to line up now but she's a Slipper winner and a talent. MY GLADIOLA (7) was placed in the Coolmore and might be a more natural 1000m horse than the other key players. Respect the tough BARAQIEL (2). Moir was not as classy as this but he can find a way.
