Speed on here but always looking for the true 1000m horses. WAY TO THE STARS (2) fits that bill perfectly. His win fresh at Caulfield was very good as the other leaders dropped right out. 1100m in an G1 Oakleigh Plate with 58kg last time was too much, this suits much better and he has won down the straight. MIDWEST (3) was behind Way To The Stars at Caulfield when unable to get control. He was very game behind a good one in Bridal Waltz last time, drawn wide here can see him do his own thing. PISANELLO (4) resumes. He put up some good numbers last time in across three states, he'll be sitting off them and ripping home with Lane booked. Not discounting MORNINGTON GLORY (1) who is a G1 Moir Stakes winner over this trip. He didn't come up last campaign but wouldn't shock at a big price. CELERITY (8) is a sharp mare who won well in Adelaide last time, have to respect again.
