DARLEY MARIBYRNONG TRIAL STAKES
Results
12 babies entered for the first two-year-old race of the season in Melbourne. Naturally, it's very tough. ONE DAY AT A TIME (9) is a Bivouac filly for the McEvoy yard who was good in her first jumpout before really exploding late to win her most recent one here. She looks plenty talented and can win first time out. Have to respect the Waterhouse & Bott polish on KNIGHTSBRIDGE (4), a colt by Farnan down from Sydney. He was a $750,000 purchase who won his latest trial and will no doubt be well educated riding the speed. SABRINA (11) is a stablemate to One Day At A Time, a filly by Blue Point who won her latest jumpout here nicely. She looks to have some versatility. KNURL (5) is another McEvoy prospect, this one a colt by Brazen Beau. He too has jumped out well on the day the stable won all four heats and Damian Lane booked is a good lead. EUROCANTO (1) hasn't won a jumpout but both have been good and the Hayes yard were on fire with their juveniles last season.
