Keen to side with the different form in MARWOOBA (2) who comes down from Sydney off a sharp win at Rosehill. He got a nice run there but burst through in strong late sectionals to suggest the rise to a mile would be perfect against a few Melbourne 2yo's that haven't set the bar all that high. FONTEIN JEWEL (1) won the key lead up here last time out in a tough effort, his late strength suggesting the rise to a mile would suit. Respecting again. STAR OF MACEDON (3) was third there in another good effort when back to the inside. He should relish 1600m here and draws for a decent run. KO PHANGAN (4) was fourth in the same race and was going 1100m to 1420m second up so expect he can improve again. FROM YESTERDAY (5) perhaps next best although the gap between runs isn't ideal.
