Race Review

Cracking edition of the Mahognay Final and DECALOGUE (1) is probably the one to beat having taken care of key rivals at his past two. He made a sweeping move but came away well at Randwick two back before a sweet ride on a slow speed saw him bolt in here. Drawn wide here and pays for it at the weights but goes on top. That said, SUNSPRITE (13) looks a great chance. She started favourite against Decalogue in Sydney and hit the line well for third. Fancy she gets a lovely run from the gate here and she should eat up 2500m now. KINGS REFLECTION (14) had no hope here behind Decalogue off a slow speed but got home very well. If he can settle closer from the gate he'll take holding out. SIMPLY GOLD (10) split Decalogue & Sunsprite last time so must have claims but the gate/map are tough. RAINSUN (3) is the progressive one who beat a subsequent winner last time at Cranbourne, fancy he'll stay strongly and has plenty of upside - keep safe.
