Looks a nice race for FLYING DONE (1) who ran a cracking race here first up over 1400m, leading early and giving the hot favourite Concord Connie a decent race, ultimately beaten 1.3 lengths into second. He should take plenty of fitness improvement from that and prove very hard to run down out to the mile here. BEL MEZYAAN (3) backs up from a good effort last week at Caulfield, getting into the best ground out very wide there but running on well. Up to 1600m suits nicely now, he should be hard to hold out. KALEO (4) has just found one better in both runs this time in, good with no weight last time at Sandown Hillside when closing off strongly in a fast race behind an all the way winner. He should be peaking now and hard to hold out. MALDINI (2) won well enough at Pakenham last time and the Bendigo Guineas run said he was up to these. GEESEVEN (8) is flying and can measure up.
