Sharp EIT Solutions announced as the VRC’s inaugural Green Energy Partner

15 May 2026 Written by VRC

The Victoria Racing Club (VRC) has announced a new multi-year partnership with Australian-owned technology leader Sharp EIT Solutions, which becomes the Club’s inaugural Green Energy Partner.

For more than 20 years, Sharp EIT Solutions has delivered integrated workplace, communications, and technology solutions, and now includes a rapidly growing commercial solar division focused on helping businesses improve long-term energy efficiency and sustainability outcomes.
Under the new agreement, the VRC will introduce solar infrastructure across Flemington Racecourse, including the installation of solar panels on the Hill Stand and Grandstand rooftops. This infrastructure investment supports the Club’s long-term sustainability strategy and will help reduce overall energy costs.
As part of the partnership, Sharp EIT Solutions will be the ongoing naming rights partner of the Group 1 $2 million Sharp EIT All-Star Mile (1600m), Victoria’s premier autumn race and one of the world’s top 100 ranked races.
VRC Chief Executive Kylie Rogers said it was great to have Sharp EIT Solutions powering the Club’s ambitions on and off the racetrack.
“It is fantastic to welcome Sharp EIT Solutions as the Club’s inaugural Green Energy Partner,” Rogers said.
“As a global leader in racing and major events, we are always looking for ways to strengthen our sustainable business practices, and introducing solar infrastructure will reduce our reliance on traditional electricity at Flemington.”

Sharp EIT Solutions Managing Director, Mario Bernatovic said the partnership reflects the growing momentum behind commercial renewable energy adoption across Australia.
“Organisations are increasingly looking for smarter and more sustainable ways to manage long-term energy costs and operational efficiency. This partnership with the Victoria Racing Club demonstrates how large-scale organisations can embrace renewable energy infrastructure in a practical and commercially effective way, while supporting broader sustainability goals,” Bernatovic said.
Sharp EIT Solutions Strategic Growth & Technology Manager, Aaditya Mehta, said the partnership represented a significant milestone for the company.
“This partnership represents a shared vision between SHARP EIT Solutions and the Victorian Racing Club to continue elevating the iconic Flemington Racecourse and enhancing the experience for members, fans, and guests across one of Australia’s most recognised sporting and cultural destinations.
Through this partnership, both organisations are committed to creating a more connected, engaging, and future focused environment at Flemington while continuing to raise the benchmark for major venues and live experiences across Australia.” Mehta said.
In addition to the All-Star Mile, Sharp EIT Solutions will feature prominently across the Autumn, Winter and Melbourne Cup Carnivals and will hold naming rights for several races, including the Sharp EIT Sir Henry Bolte Handicap on Andrew Ramsden Race Day this Saturday 16 May as well as the Sharp EIT Mahogany Challenge Final on Flemington Finals Day and the Sharp EIT Subzero Handicap on VRC Oaks Day.
