The VRC is pleased to reintroduce an initiative for VRC Members on Group 1 race days — Pre-Paid Reserved Tables in selected areas of the Members Enclosure. 

Starting from Black Caviar Lightning Race Day, Saturday, 17 February, VRC Members will be able to book a limited number of pre-paid reserved tables. A reserved table ensures you have a dedicated space on the race day and allows flexibility to come and go as you please once you have checked in for the day. The cost of reserving a table will be provided back with a food and beverage voucher to use on the day.

Please note that, even with reserved tables, there will still be plenty of walk-up tables available in these venues.

Reserved tables will be available in the following venues: 

How the reserved table offering will work: 

  • Pre-paid reserved tables will be available for all Group 1 race days throughout the racing season
  • Pre-paid reserved table bookings can be made via Ticketmaster as part of the race day on-sale process
  • Table bookings of 6 and 4 are available in The Atrium Trackside and The Forum. Tables of 4 are available in the Furlong Bar and on the Members Lawn 
  • Prices are $25pp for members and $85pp for guests. The guest ticket price includes the cost of a daily guest ticket for entry into the racecourse and the Members Enclosure, as well as a $25 food and beverage voucher.
  • Members and guests will each receive a $25 food and beverage voucher upon check-in at the venue
  • The $25 voucher is valid for use in retail food and beverage outlets across the course for the booked day.
  • Table bookings will be made via Ticketmaster and to book tables, members will be required to enter their 12-digit membership barcode number. Any annual guest card or complimentary guest ticket barcodes can also be used to access the member price of $25.

  • Table bookings of 6 and 4 are available
  • High and low table options are available in The Atrium, subject to availability. Refer to the venue at time of booking
  • Members are advised to arrive no later than the start of Race 2 to secure their reserved table. Members who arrive later than the start of Race 2, risk their table being re-allocated to other members
  • Members are reminded that BYO food is not permitted in The Club Stand, except on the Members Lawn and in the Members Betting Ring. BYO food is permitted in The Grandstand, except in The Atrium Dining and The Peak

A service and handling fee of $5.95 applies for reserved table bookings.

There is a check-in point within each reserved tables venue where you will need to show confirmation of your booking to receive your food and beverage voucher and be shown to your table. Further information will be provided in your confirmation email. 

Check in for Reserved tables will be from Gates Open until the jump of Race 2.

An Event Staff member will direct you to allocated table. 

Tables will be reserved up until the jump of Race 2. Members who arrive later than the start of Race 2, risk their table being made available to other members.

Once checked in your table is held for day, and VRC event staff will oversee the area for the whole day.
