The VRC Leadership Team, represented by our Chairman Neil Wilson and CEO Steve Rosich, will bring you up to date with the latest news and plans for the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
Special guest speakers include, our recently announced Lexus Melbourne Cup Day Ambassador Ariarne Titmus, international racing commentator, Francesca Cumani and three-time Lexus Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Glen Boss. Plus, Jaimee Rogers from TAB will also join us to provide some insider tips on the upcoming Melbourne Cup Carnival.
A Taste of Flemington – a culinary experience
Guests will be treated to a complimentary culinary tasting experience. With food stations serving up a selection of culinary delights throughout the evening, guests will have the opportunity to sample a Taste of Flemington and what to look forward to on course this Melbourne Cup Carnival.

Ariarne Titmus OAM is a two-time Olympic gold medallist, seven-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist, world record holder and much-loved Australian swimmer, who captured the hearts of the nation last year after winning gold in the 200m and 400m freestyle at the Tokyo Olympics and more recently further cemented herself as one of the country’s best ever swimmers after winning four gold medals at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
Francesca is a well-known international racing commenter, having worked for ITV Racing. She now comes back to Australia after 3 years to join Network 10’s 2022 Melbourne Cup Carnival broadcast team.
Francesca has had a long-standing career in the racing industry, working for her father and successful horse trainer Luca Cumani. Francesca was also the travelling foreman who accompanied international Melbourne Cup placegetters Bauer and Purple Moon during their Melbourne Cup campaigns in 2008 and 2007.
Glen has a long and very special history with Flemington, forever associated via his deeds with champion mare Makybe Diva, winning the Melbourne Cup in 2003, 2004 and 2005.
Recently retired, Glen is now a VRC ambassador and will work through this year's Carnival on Network Ten's broadcast.
He is an Australian Racing Hall Of Fame inductee and has won 96 Group 1s worldwide in a career spanning more than three decades.
