Welcome in the New Year with a brilliant eight-race card headlined by the Listed Bagot Handicap (2800m) and the Listed Chester Manifold Stakes (1400m).
The time-honoured Bagot Handicap attracts the country’s best off-season stayers ahead of bigger autumn targets; and the Chester Manifold Stakes is named in honour of the former VRC Chairman (serving between 1951-1962).
The Front Lawn will be an ideal spot to enjoy the races up close and with easy access to Saintly Place Sports Bar where you can enter the VRC Punters Club. Families will love the Flemington Family Lawn in The Elms where the kids can enjoy various games and entertainment.
The festivities of the day continue for members in The Roof Garden, and the G.H. Mumm Champagne Bar.
PLEASE NOTE: The Peak and The View in The Grandstand will be closed on New Year’s Day Race Day.

The air-conditioned sports bar comes alive with bar sports, betting facilities, live racing on the TVs, refreshing drinks and takeaway food. Settle in or grab a drink – there’s also seating in the Beer Garden at the top of the steps over The Front Lawn.
