The Penfolds Victoria Derby, first run in 1855, once again gathered Australia’s top young stayers vying for a place on its star-studded honor roll. Goldrush Guru, expertly trained by Andrew Gluyas and piloted by Jamie Kah, triumphed over Scary and China Sea finishing close in second and third, respectively.
True to tradition, the black-and-white theme brought an elegant touch, embodying the sophistication of Australia’s fashion capital.
