The road to the 2027 Lexus Melbourne Cup continues with the second golden ticket on offer in the Listed Lexus Andrew Ramsden (2800m).
The race honours Andrew Ramsden (1934–2013), a significant figure in VRC history who served on the Committee for 21 years, including roles as Honorary Treasurer, Vice Chairman and Chairman from 1998 to 2003. Renamed in his honour in 2005, the staying contest reflects Ramsden’s lasting contribution to the Club and his deep passion for distance racing.
