After 62 heats across metropolitan and regional Victorian tracks throughout May and June, the VRC Winter Race Series reaches its climax on VRC Winter Championships Day at Flemington.
Horses that finished first or second in designated heats have secured exemption from the ballot for their respective finals. Four races on the program hold Listed status, highlighted by the Listed VRC-CRV Winter Championship Series Final (1600m).
Spanning all classes, age groups and sexes, the series has long served as a launching pad, with many Winter Championship graduates going on to greater success in the spring and beyond.
