Flemington turned purple for Kennedy Oaks Day as the community came together for The Good Friday Appeal.

Headlined by the three-year-old fillies in the time-honoured 2500m Group 1 Kennedy Oaks, this year's feature was taken out by James Cummings-trained Zardozi under a rails-hugging ride by James McDonald.

This year all racegoers were encouraged to don their best purple racewear or add a splash of purple to raise awareness and funds for the Good Friday Appeal.
