Lovely bit of placement by Mitch Freedman with SKYBIRD (15) who is a G1 Lightning winner here. She resumed with a sound run in the G1 Moir when sixth after being ridden closer to the pace. Second up last campaign she was close behind Joliestar in a TJ Smith and she loves heavy tracks. With 55kg she's very well in. HEDGED (4) was very brave second up here in the G2 Bobbie Lewis when leading, just run down late by LOSESOMEWINMORE (5) who ducked back inside to score. Hedged meets Losesomewinmore 4.5kg better off, not sure either want it too wet, especially Losesomewinmore. SMOOTH CHINO (6) is a talented WA sprinter who ran a solid race fresh in Adelaide under 62kg. He can measure up. INKARUNA (12) has come back well and looks ready to peak, wouldn't discount.

Going well but back in trip and big weight a niggle.

Last start 14th of 16 in the G1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes at Caulfield on September 19 over 1400m, 9 len behind Angel Capital with 56.5kg at $21. Not sure where he's at but best would just about win.

Had weight advantage last time and doesn't want it too wet but can't discount.
