Another race with strong form credentials is the Listed VRC-CRV Winter Championship Series Final (1600m), where consistent galloper Jimmy The Bear will aim to defend his title for Patrick Payne and Billy Egan, with Just Folk and Saint George also set to contest the feature.
To coincide with the start of the school holidays, VRC Members can enjoy a Family Science Fair in The Atrium of The Grandstand. From gates opening until the jump of the last race, families can take part in a range of free, hands-on science activities and interactive workshops, including dry ice experiments, instant snow creations, and a wind turbine car workshop.
Living Legend Santa Ana Lane will be trackside to witness the race named in his honour, along with fan favourite So Si Bon. Racegoers can visit the legends in the horse stalls and watch them parade in the Mounting Yard after races 2 and 4.
Gates open at 10:55am with race 1 at 11:55am. General Admission tickets are $20 per person with children under 12 admitted free. For more ticketing information, visit vrc.com.au.
Racing returns to Flemington on Saturday 18 July for VRC Members Race Day.
