Swan Hill trainer Noel Watson will have his first runner at Flemington on Saturday with a shot at winning a golden ticket into the Lexus Melbourne Cup.

Watson has a stable of two, and the star is Redjina, a 200-1 chance who will take on a field of talent stayers in The Lexus Andrew Ramsden.

In this first episode of Road To The Cup, Watson explains how he won't be making the four-hour trip to Melbourne. Instead, he will be calling the local footy game at Swan Hill.
