VRC Community Race Day acknowledged the local residents, businesses and organisations that make up the fabric of the local Flemington community.

The nine-race card on VRC Community Race Day featured heats of the Flemington Winter Series, including Heat 5 of the Banjo Patterson Series which last year saw Grand Promenade continue on the Road to the Lexus Melbourne Cup.

A strong crowd at Flemington on a wonderful winter's day witnessed a great day of racing, highlighted by an incredible from-last-to-first victory by Looks Like Elvis in the VRC-CRV Winter Championship Series Plate.
