Royal Ascot hopefuls stepped out this morning for a 900 metre jump out up the famous Flemington straight.
Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning (1000m) winner Coolangatta, was joined by the Peter & Paul Snowden-trained Cannonball, with both horses to be aimed at the Group 1 King’s Stand Stakes (1000m) on the first day of the Royal Ascot Carnival.
Artorius was also put through his paces ahead of his second overseas venture, the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes (1200m) being his primary target.
The three Royal Ascot aspirants were joined by Coolangatta’s stablemates Pacific Fury and Field Of Flutes.
The Royal Ascot Carnival begins Tuesday 20 June, running everyday up until Saturday 24 June.
