Being a member of VRC means additional privileges at other leading racing and sporting clubs.

There’s more to being a VRC Member than all the special experiences you enjoy at Flemington. As a member, you’re also are automatically eligible for reciprocal privileges at other great racecourses and sporting clubs in Australia, and even around the world. This includes renowned Clubs like the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) and Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club.

Please note, as a result of COVID-19, many interstate, metropolitan and country clubs have limited capacities.

Be sure to contact the relevant club to understand their specific restrictions prior to attending.

Melbourne

VRC members will be admitted to the Melbourne Racing Club’s member enclosures at Caulfield, Sandown and Mornington racecourses on selected race days.

Visiting members are required to purchase general admission tickets, either online via mrc.racing.com or at the gate on race day.

To secure Members' Reserve Guest passes, please email your details and VRC membership number to membership@mrc.net.au prior to race day.

On race day

Purchase General Admission ticket at the gate or via mrc.racing.com and bring your General Admission ticket and VRC Membership card to the Race Day Office on race day to receive your Members Reserve Passes.

To reserve your dining, you are required to book directly through Ticketmaster by selecting the dining product you would like to reserve then enter your valid barcode number located on the back of your membership card/s. Please note when booking dining you will be issued with a Reciprocal Members guest ticket as part of the package.

VRC members will be admitted to the Moonee Valley Racecourse Member enclosures on selected race days.

VRC Members must pay racecourse admission and present themselves at the clubs Race Day Office with a current Full or Restricted VRC Members’ Card.  Members can also redeem a second complimentary Members guest pass for a guest who has paid the racecourse admission.

The Melbourne Cricket Club is an icon of Australian sporting institutions, and VRC members are entitled to purchase visitor tickets to enter the MCC Members Reserve, for selected AFL and cricket matches played at the MCG.

Internationally renowned as "The Spiritual Home of Australian Tennis”, VRC members enjoy reciprocal rights to the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club.

All VRC Members are eligible to:

Access to the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club courts and clubhouse dressing facilities, on specified days, up to three times per year*

Access to dining during lunch, in the Racquet Club, up to three times per year.^

For tennis court and dining bookings, VRC Members must contact Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club reception between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday on (03) 9822 3333.

When you visit, VRC members simply need to report to the reception desk on arrival and present their VRC Membership Card.

From two weeks prior to select race day’s reciprocal members who are entitled to Members Enclosure ticketing at Flemington Racecourse may book Members dining subject to availability.

VRC members visiting Victorian Provincial and Country race clubs will be issued with a member’s ticket, upon payment of the admission fee.

This excludes cup days, the three days of the Warrnambool Cup Carnival and special event days as designated by the clubs.

Members are advised to contact the relevant club prior to attending.

The VRC are pleased to welcome back provincial and country racing clubs on selected race days for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.

Reciprocal privileges at interstate clubs

VRC Members are eligible to apply for reciprocal arrangements with interstate principal clubs and certain provincial clubs listed below, under the following conditions:

  • VRC member to pay racecourse admission
  • Member to present current full membership card at the secretary’s or raceday office of the host club
  • Interstate clubs may charge for reciprocal members enclosure tickets at their feature meetings. Visiting members may purchase up to two tickets for most of these meetings
  • VRC members attending non-feature-race meetings may sign in at the reciprocal club, and receive one members ticket free of charge. They also may purchase one additional ticket for a guest

To establish prices and procedures for gaining access to interstate clubs, it is recommended that you contact the appropriate club directly.

  • VRC Member to pay racecourse admission

The International Alliance aims to strengthen relationships with international racing leaders and offers a means of exchanging the world’s best practices, and includes the following:

VRC Members however are reminded that these arrangements have been established as a goodwill gesture between the clubs concerned and provide for a courteous extension of Members’ privileges on the occasions of intermittent, bona fide visits only.

To make arrangements to attend any of the aforementioned racecourses, contact Customer Service on 1300 727 575.

Applications for reciprocal arrangements need to be made in writing at least 10 working days in advance to: membership@vrc.net.au

When applying to the VRC, please state race club, country, travel dates, racemeetings, and name of any guest attending.

Contact will be made on your behalf to confirm reciprocal arrangements, costs and dress standards. Members will be notified via email or telephone.

We recommend that Members make contact with the international club prior to the race day to confirm arrangements.

Members are generally required to pay racecourse admission fees, and then proceed to the oncourse enquiry office to arrange privileges by presenting a current Full VRC Membership Card and/or introductory letter.

Please note that most clubs, during their carnival period or feature race days, enforce special conditions of entry and privileges offered to visiting Members.
