3:39 PM - 6:10 PM Stopping North Melbourne through to Southern Cross Station.
We came together to celebrate the end of the 2024/25 Season with VRC Members Race Day.
This special meeting provided an opportunity to acknowledge VRC members for their support and loyalty throughout the 2024/25 racing season.
The meeting played host to The Byerley Handicap (1800m) – a coveted event for owners and trainers who sought a ballot-exempt path for their two-year-olds into the 2025 Group 1 Victoria Derby or the 2025 Group 1 Crown Oaks (2500m). The Byerley Handicap was won by Arcora.
Also on the card was the Deane Lester Flemington Cup (2800m) – a race 12 years older than the Lexus Melbourne Cup and named in honour of one of racing’s greats, who passed away in 2023.
